A lot of people struggle with getting enough sleep, so you may ask yourself, “How do I get enough sleep?”
Start with getting yourself on a schedule. Get yourself on a set schedule, go to bed around the same time every night and get up around the same time every morning. Your daily routine can impact your sleep habits: what events you do daily, medications you take, and what you eat and drink can affect your sleep habits.
“What can I do to get to sleep faster and get the most out of the sleep I am getting?”
Make sure you are going to bed early enough to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep. If you are getting a good amount of sleep, chances are when you go to do your daily tasks you will perform better because your mind will be well rested. Establish a relaxing bedtime routine. It is important to relax your mind before falling asleep. If your mind is active while trying to sleep you and your mind will not get the rest it needs and you will not perform well the next day. Getting good sleep is important to having good mental health.
